Located in the Gilbert, Ariz., suburb of Phoenix, the Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, is a 198-bed, not-for profit hospital with more than 1,300 employees and almost 900 doctors on staff representing all major specialties.  In 2014, Phoenix Children’s Hospital launched a 22-bed pediatric unit inside the hospital.   Mercy Gilbert opened in 2006 and has been a vital part of the growing community. Join us now as a Senior Surgical Technician. The Senior Surgical Technician will provide excellent service to the patients of the OR Department, the physicians, fellow employees and hospital staff. The Surgery Department at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center provides surgical services encompassing a variety of surgical specialties including ENT, general, orthopedic, sports medicine, neurology, gynecology, and urology. The highly trained surgical teams are dedicated to providing quality care to our neighbors in the East Valley using the latest state of the art technology and a holistic approach to meet our client's individual needs. Surgical practice and standards follow the latest recommendations from AORN, JCAHO, and CMS to assure that patient safety is at the forefront and expected outcomes are met.
 
 
 

Qualifications

Minimum: 

HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
Six years of experience in a multi-specialty Operating Room, with demonstrated skills in orthopedics, general, OB/GYN, and plastic procedures.
Completion of formal instruction in Operating Room Technique.
BLS (American Heart Association)

Basic computer skills including MS Office Suites.

Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
