Upon referral provides professional physical therapy services including evaluations, planning individual patient care programs and treatments. Demonstrates/uses current knowledge of principles and practices of Physical Therapy. Participates in job related departmental functions as an integral member of the patient care team.
This is an opportunity to join our dynamic Therapy Services team in our Acute Rehabilitation Unit, with a diverse patient population, including those with transplants, neurological conditions, orthopedic conditions, and other cardiopulmonary conditions. Responsibilities include performing evaluations, treatments/treatment planning, supervision of support staff, and the therapist will be able to actively participate in the team dynamics and care planning integral to an Acute Rehabilitation Unit.
Experience
New graduate without experience acceptable, unless a specific number of years required due to the needs of the department at the time of the appointment.
Prior work experience or internship experience in an Acute Rehabilitation, SNF, or Acute Care setting is preferred.
Education
Masters and/or Baccalaureate degree from a school of Physical Therapy accredited by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Physical Therapy Association or its equivalent.
Licensure
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-AHA (CT CPRBLS) , PHYSICAL THERAPIST (LIC PT)
