The Cardiovascular Laboratory provides optimum care for inpatient and outpatients presenting with cardiovascular dysfunction and peripheral vascular disease. Included in this care are the pre-procedure preparation, the procedure and the post-procedure stabilization of the patient in the most safe and cost-effective manner. Diagnostic procedures and low-risk interventional procedures are offered at the Rose de Lima campus. Diagnostic and interventional procedures are offered at the Siena and San Martin Campus. Electrophysiological studies are also offered at San Martin.

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Cardiology Manager and Director, the Cardiovascular Database Coordinator is accountable for the development, implementation, expansion, resource management, reporting and administration of the Cardiovascular Services Database. This position is also accountable for data management (policy, compliance, data collection oversight, accuracy, timeliness, etc.) for external CV Data Registries, including, but not limited to, American College of Cardiology (ACC), Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), and ICD. Also accountable for submitting data to the external peer review for interventional procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Three years clinical experience with at least 1 year in a Cardiovascular Surgical area. Minimum 1 year experience working with a Database.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• RN - Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada.
• Computer proficiency required. Microsoft Office applications - Excel, Access, Word, and Powerpoint essential. Proficient with statistical process control tools. Possesses information technology skills related to computer applications, spreadsheets, and data. Ability to use quality tools (flowchart, run charts, control charts). Can present their data in a reliable and easily understood format using charts, graph, and a variety of software summaries. Requires good written, verbal, typing and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manages work within time frames.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Crystal Reports preferred.
