Under the Director or designee, the staff nurse provides and documents, goals-oriented nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of St. Mary's Medical Center. The staff nurse utilizes principles of the nursing process and coordinates clinically related activities to provide for the effective delivery of healthcare. This role is responsible for Case Management of assigned students, along with individual and family therapy. Applies Dignity Core Values to the performance of every job duty. One year of acute care clinical experience as a Registered Nurse preferred and must have clinical competence relevant to psychiatry. Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in healthcare industry 1-2 years of experience with a minimum of 1 year in area of related field Complete annual safety training. Complete and maintain department specific training. Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing, with NLN accreditation preferred. Must have one year of adolescent acute area clinical experience as a RN and have clinical competence related to the patient care area. Must have leadership ability and good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and speak English clearly and be understood. Must have current license in the State of California as a Registered Nurse. Must have American Heart Association BLS certification.
