This job is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting all patient and non-patient areas of the hospital and satellite facilities under the direction of the Environmental Services Supervisor and Director of Security and Environmental Services. Counting, sorting, and stocking of clean linen in preparation for use and maintaining prompt delivery of linen items to the hospital units. In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the Housekeeper/Linen Service Worker applies Dignity Health Core Values to the performance of every job duty. Incumbents in this position shall comply with all applicable laws and rules including the Dignity Health Standards of Conduct and Dignity Health policies and procedures that apply to his/her job responsibilities, seek guidance when in doubt, promptly report any potential or suspected violation of Dignity Health Standards of Conduct, Dignity Health policy or procedure or applicable laws/regulations and when requested, assist Dignity Health personnel in investigating all allegations of violation. When called upon, the incumbent shall assist in risk evaluation and work collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement, monitor and mitigate risk corrective plans outlined by the Compliance program.
This position requires one year of verifiable industrial cleaning, linen/laundry experience (housekeeping or janitorial experience) within the last five years. One year (2080 hours) of recent experience in Support Services (i.e. Food Services) at Sequoia Hospital will be accepted in lieu of the experience requirement. Completion of annual safety training. Completes and maintains required unit specific training.
