St. John's Regional Medical Center
Established in 1912 by the Sisters of Mercy at the request of Reverend John Laubacher and community leaders, St. John's hospitals have grown to represent the largest acute-care health organization in Ventura County, California. St. John's hospitals have a combined total of 445 licensed beds (SJRMC: 265 licensed beds; SJPVH: 180 licensed beds), over 2,000 employees, and more than 500 medical staff members. Area consumers consistently select St. John's as the favorite hospital in the communities we serve. Nationally recognized as a quality leader and fully accredited by The Joint Commission, St. John's has served Oxnard, Camarillo, and the surrounding communities for almost 100 years.
At St. John's, our employees are valued. Recently, St. John's Regional Medical Center and St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital were jointly awarded the "Ventura County Family-Friendly Employer" award. Our hospitals have very low turnover rates as employees are satisfied with the work experience offered at St. John's.
Additionally, we know that quality of life is an important thing to consider as you weigh your employment options, and it's hard to beat the beauty of California's coast. Nestled in between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, you'll find limitless year-round recreation. Additionally, you'll only be a short drive away from California's wine country, and a boat ride away from the Channel Islands. It's hard to resist the Mediterranean climate, 20 miles of coastline, and clear air and open spaces of California's "Strawberry Coast." This is a place where your career will thrive, and so will you.
