Position Summary:

The Float RN is a licensed professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for groups of patients in multiple nursing units for designated time frames and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Must maintain required competencies for all units of assignment.

This is a full-time position required to work primarily night shift, and some day shifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of acute care experience AND 1 year managing Labor & Delivery, ante-partum, postpartum and well-baby, OB experience.
• Must have completed the AWOHN intermediate or advance fetal monitoring training
• Current BLS and ACLS, NRP and PALS certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing
