Job Summary:
We seek outstanding applicants with a BS degree in molecular biology, animal science, physiology, or closely related field. Applicants are expected to have an excellent track record of basic science research including skills in molecular biology, PCR, cloning, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and cell culture.
Our lab focuses on stroke and pre-clinical applications and a background or interest in this field is desirable. Successful candidates will be open-minded with a willingness and desire to learn new techniques, energetic, reliable, and interested in pre-clinical model surgeries and behavioral testing. The candidate must be comfortable working with and handling pre-clinical models. Excellent project management and interpersonal skills are critical and the ability to write and edit manuscripts beneficial.
Requirements:
Two (2) years prior experience in a research, clinical, or other scientific environment required.
Bachelor's degree required.
Familiar with basic computer skills required.
Four (4) years of prior experience in a research, clinical, or other scientific environment preferred.
Education
Familiar with laboratory techniques and basic computer skills preferred.
Training
Familiar with laboratory techniques. Working knowledge of the scientific method.
Demonstrates an ability to continually improve performance preferred.
