At St. Joseph's Medical Center, the PBX Operator has a range of responsibilities including answering and transferring all incoming calls that come to St. Joseph's Medical Center through a computer, answering and announcing all “Code “ calls, monitoring alarms and communicate important information using a 2-way radio.  As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to champion the change by joining in our mission of healing through humankindness.

Located in Phoenix AZ, this position is critical to the success and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.

Minimum:

• Two years PBX operator, customer service, or hospital related experience.
• MS Office experience, including MS Outlook.
• Strong Computer skills and very good typing skills are required.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize during high stress situations (code scenarios).
• Comfortable and clear speaking voice when making public address announcements.
• HS/GED

Preferred:

• Three years customer service experience, preferably in a hospital PBX or high volume call center environment.
• Some college level education.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• English/Spanish bilingual.
