Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision of the Communications Supervisor, the communications attendant is responsible as a team member to establish and maintain courteous and efficient telephone service.
  • According to specified procedure to Answer incoming, outgoing, and inter-hospital calls; take and relay messages for department manager; assist in emergency situations; use a variety of office equipment including PC, fax machine, printer, two-way radio system; voice paging; various beeper systems; cellular phones, and Medical Center phones.
  • Clerical and other duties as assigned.
  • This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical
    Center.
  • It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
  • The employee shall support St. Bernardine Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process
    improvement activities

Qualifications

  • PBX or Answering Service experience preferred
  • Ability to use general office equipment
  • Must have basic Computer skills
