Position Summary:

The Cath Imaging Technologist is a professional with advanced training in cardiovascular/interventional and special procedures. The Cath Imaging Technologist, under the general direction of the Nurse Director, shall perform professional functions involved in a variety of technical aspects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• CA RRT, RTTF, ARRT and BLS required. “Employees hired prior to 2009 are not required to have dysrhythmia”.  Employees hired after 2009 must have dysrhythmia cert within 6 months of hire.
• High school diploma or GED required. 
• Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications.  
• Intra Aortic Balloon Pump certified within the first year of employment in the Cath Lab.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A minimum of one year advanced training as a Special Procedures Technologist (SPT) preferred.
