In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Tech III is responsible for the preparation and distribution of all medication orders plus attains and maintains (according to hospital policies under State and Federal laws and regulations) one or more of the following specialties; IV Chemotherapy certification - Surgery Pharmacy Technician status - Certified Pharmacy Technician status (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board)


This position is represented by SEIU - UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.


Minimum Requirement:

  • High School graduate
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Tech with the State Board of Pharmacy and I.V. certification by a qualified institution.


  • One (1)year hospital experience preferred.

Special Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing using the English language.
  • Strong attention to detail. Able to follow both oral and written directions.
  • Ability to be precise in filling medication orders and maintaining records.
  • Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, the patient, family, and the public.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
