The incumbent is accountable for employee health and safety at assigned facility. The incumbent will participate in implementation of program changes and work practices as directed for continued quality improvement. In addition, the incumbent provides coordination, planning, development, evaluation and monitoring of Hospital Compensation, Transitional Work (TWP) and Employee Health programs. The incumbent reports directly to the Service Area Director, Employee Health.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required
  • Current California RN license required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to handle conflict in an assertive and positive manner
  • Ability to work independently and excellent organizational skills required
  • Current BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing preferred
  • Occupational Health Nurse certification preferred
  • Experience in providing educational seminars/training
  • Five (5) years of experience in employee health preferred
  • Three (3) years of direct experience in risk management, workers compensation claims management and occupational/employee health preferred
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation, labor code, OSHA regulations and other state and federal requirements
