Overview

The purpose of Dignity Health Management Services Organization (Dignity Health MSO) is to build a system-wide integrated physician-centric, full-service management service organization structure. We offer a menu of management and business services that will leverage economies of scale across provider types and geographies and will lead the effort in developing Dignity Health’s Medicaid population health care management pathways. Dignity Health MSO is dedicated to providing quality managed care administrative and clinical services to medical groups, hospitals, health plans and employers with a business objective to excel in coordinating patient care in a manner that supports containing costs while continually improving quality of care and levels of service. Responsibilities

What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role – Your Contribution & Career Journey

 

The Data Architect designs, develops, implements, maintains and continuously refines data warehouse architectures, logical and physical data models, application\transactional interfaces, data integration methods, EDI transactions, and end-to-end data flows. This position leads the technical and logical components of enterprise information architecture and implementation. The primary focus will be the development and maintenance of flexible data architectures and data flows supporting BI\EDW solutions. This position will work with Business Analysts, Business Intelligence Developers, DBAs and Integration Developers, as well as the Data Governance committee members, executives and business stakeholders to deploy single source reporting for identified and prioritized critical data assets. This includes, but is not limited to, building, deploying and maintaining: ETL processes, ELT processes, external and internal EDI processes, data quality methods, transactional interfaces, data modeling, EDW architectures, data marts, and data tool\system administration.

  • Support the design of database structures
  • Ensures efficient design of database structures
  • Maintains and improves database structures
  • Aligns data architecture plans with strategic business objectives
  • Evaluate performance results and identify problems
  • Develop ideas and solutions within different situations
  • Recommend changes based on results to increase performance
  • Design, direct and implement ETL Processes
  • Develop and implement technical best practices for data movement, data quality, data cleansing, and other ETL-related activities
  • Develop and ensure adherence to locally defined standards for all developed components
  • Read Data Models to translate them into ETL or ELT loads into Data Warehouses and Data Marts
  • Help administer and maintain the ETL environment in a support role with DBAs
  • Analyze source system data to assess data quality
  • Work with technical and business representatives to determine strategies for handling data anomalies that are identified Document designs and architect data maps
  • Develop data quality components and establish and/or conduct unit tests
  • Develop dimensional data models to support reporting through BI platform

What We’re Looking For

 

We are looking for someone to provide instruction, training and guidance to internal and external team members to ensure effective and efficient use of system resources. This position will be key in the selection, implementation and training of data integration and modeling tools and systems covering the entire data lifecycle.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Eight to ten (8 – 10) years’ experience with ETL automation, data management, Warehousing Reporting systems or interface design, development and maintenance
  • Expert skill level in SQL, data integration, data modeling and data management systems
  • Knowledge of interface engines and protocols.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to information systems design, engineering, administration and management architecture skills
  • Experience with data management platforms (e.g. SSIS, SSAS, InfoSphere, Talend, Informatica, SAS)
  • Experience with Service Bus Architecture and transaction management systems such as Microsoft BizTalk Server, Microsoft Message Queue, Edifecs or similar
  • Experience with HL7, X12, XML, XSLT, and XSD management systems
  • Experience with AWS and CLOUD computing
  • Healthcare experience required
  • BS/MS in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent

 Additional Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in processes and standards related to data.
  • 8-10 years SQL experience programming complex data structures and automated processes
  • Proficiency in requirements analysis, report building, or other data management related experience
  • Advanced knowledge of physical database design and data structures
  • Expert knowledge of one or more database

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Business Intelligence
  • Microsoft Certified Expert: Data Platform 
  • Experience with Web Services, REST, SOAP, JSON, and Platforms such as Microsoft.Net Web API
  • Knowledge of QNXT and EMR/EHR applications.
