Responsibilities

Medical/Surgical Acute- Nurse Educator

This position plans, coordinates, and implements staff development, continuing education, orientation, annual update, and competency evaluation processes including remediation of staff. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Bernardine Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Four years of nursing experience with demonstrated progressive teaching and communication skills, OR five years of nursing experience with specialty certification AND Masters in progress
  • Experience in course design and presentation preferred
  • Master's degree in related field OR Master's degree in progress
  • Current valid California nursing License
  • BLS
  • Appropriate Specialty Certification.
