Our team represents a great deal of talent and experience across a wide range medical publishing- Medical Editors, Production Editors, Medical Illustrators, Medical Animators, Medical Video Editors, Graphic Artists, and 3D Interactive App developers. In this role the 3D Medical Modeler / Animator collaborates with neurosurgeons, authors and the media team to create 3D models from diagnostic data, photogrammetry, and medical literature. Creates storyboards, animations, and illustrations. Assigns surface properties and rigs models. Provides lighting, sets motion and key frames, adds special effects, renders frames, and composites animations. Estimates and tracks production. Organizes and catalogs 3D assets. Catalogs and archives finished projects.
Expertise (two years’ experience preferred) with 3D computer animation and modeling software. Expertise (two years’ experience preferred) as medical illustrator. Knowledge of video and audio recording, editing and formatting, and associated electronics and operating systems.
Education minimum: Bachelor degree in Digital Art, Animation or related field.
Education preferred: MA or MS in Medical Illustration or Biomedical Visualization preferred.
Certified Medical Illustrator Preferred.
