Overview

Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC), a service of Dignity Health, is a non-profit clinic organization comprised of more than 30 community health centers located on the Central Coast in cities throughout Northern Santa Barbara County, San Luis Obispo County and Ventura County. Our experienced doctors and family health centers provide a wide range of health care services that include family care as well as a number of specialty health care services. Responsibilities

Position Summary:


In keeping with the Pacific Central Coast Health Center’s philosophy, the Registered Nurse manages quality patient care through the nursing process.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing Graduation from an accredited school of
    Nursing
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in Women's Health required
  • Reacts calmly and efficiently in emergencies
  • Collaborates and provides leadership with patient-care team; maintains effective relationships with coworkers and medical staff
  • Relates with patients/visitors empathetically and tactfully.
  • Demonstrates:
    • Ability to work within a team model of patient-care delivery
    • Proficient basic nursing skills and specialty skills
    • Knowledge of the nursing process and the ability to apply these principles appropriately
    • A caring, compassionate attitude toward others
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently
    • Clear, effective written and oral English skills, and objective active-listening skills
    • Ability to delegate appropriate patient care tasks, duties, etc. to other team members
    • Ability and willingness to actively participate in ability to communicate effectively, clearly, concisely and accurately.
    • Medical staff process improvement activities
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others across all departments
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
