The CATS unit at Northridge Hospital Medical Center is actively seeking individuals who demonstrate patient care excellence. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the CENTER FOR ASSAULT SERVICES (CATS) to coordinate, supervise and implement patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge and evidence-based practice. The Registered Nurse is expected to practice autonomously, consistent with professional standards, Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description specific to the unit. The RN is responsible for the forensic interview, physical assessment and examination of domestic violence and sexual assault victims of all ages. The RN is also responsible for the collection, documentation, and packaging of forensic evidence of sexual assault victims and will provide expert testimony in a court of law as necessary. Patients are seen at CATS (Center for Assault Treatment Services) located offsite in Van Nuys. This position is critical to the success of Northridge Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission and organizational values of the Dignity Health system.
