Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Chandler, the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 338-bed, not-for-profit hospital with more than 2,500 employees and almost 1,000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. As of 2020, The Pharmacy Department at Chandler Regional Medical Center is comprised of 40 pharmacists and 34 technicians serving in various managerial, clinical, information technology, decentralized, and central pharmacy roles. The pharmacy supports a PGY1 Residency program with 2-pharmacy residents. In 2021, Chandler Regional will see completion of new 5-story patient tower, which will include a new 7,500 square foot, state-of-the-art inpatient pharmacy. The department is open 24 hours per day and utilizes both decentralized and centralized pharmacists along with specialized pharmacists. The technicians assist the pharmacist with the help of the Omnicell automated dispensing machine, Cerner patient care system, and bedside medication verification.
We are looking for a high level clinical pharmacist to join our team. Duties will include being a primary preceptor for our PGY-1 residency program, actively integrate into a patient care area of the hospital, provide educational opportunities for our staff, and various other duties that align with the needs of the department.
Preferred Specific Qualifications:
1 year clinical pharmacy experience
PharmD or BS pharmacy from and accredited College of Pharmacy
Current Arizona State Phamacist license in good standing
3 years of clinical pharmacy experience
PharmD. Strongly prefer residency training or equivalent experience.
