Responsible for overseeing and participating in the facility's sepsis program and is accountable for assessing and coordinating the management of potential sepsis patients or those who have been diagnosed with sepsis. The Sepsis Coordinator serves as a role model and works collaboratively with the medical and hospital staff to provide multidisciplinary care to sepsis patients which includes the following: researches and drives implementation of evidence-based practices as related to sepsis care; provides clinical and professional expertise for patients, families and staff members; collects, analyzes, makes recommendations and reports sepsis related data; and, provides sepsis education at the bedside and in the classroom.
