Position Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Technician I will report to the Laboratory Supervisor. Under general guidance of the Clinical Lab Scientist and medical direction of the Laboratory Director, the MLT I perform waived and non-waived moderately complex tests in the areas of chemistry, Hematology, Serology and Urinalysis following established lab procedures for specimen handling, processing, analysis and result reporting for patient and specimens as defined and limited by the State and Federal Regulations. Performs clinical laboratory test procedures in a manner that provides accurate, timely, and meaningful results. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and it’s goals and direction.
AA degree preferred
Five years of clinical laboratory experience or two years of college preferred
